Chastain with his eminently strong guitar playing takes center stage. Here comes the band in a very compact, although of course, Mr. “Highway Man” – track is 100% winner of the genre!! …multinucleated blues-rock numbers and funky grooves with subtle jam feeling to sometimes a soulful, emotional blues ballad!. This US band Filled with great fluid guitar breaks and jamming tracks, but never losing sight of the melody,dual-lead-guitars w/slide ‘n meaty organ-bass grounding! has that melodic punch…. This album gains a deserved reissue on Akarma CD which was the 1st chance to most of us got to hear an ’80s band sounding and looking very much like an early ’70s band in the style of the Allman brothers. The Dave Chastain Band from Peoria / Illinois, the rare album “Rockin ‘Roulette” of 1980 in Southern rock circles really cult status, This is their self-financed Private press on Rumble Records. La canción " One In The Sun" (a pesar del crédito en la portada de una O'Brian desconocido) fue escrito por Steve Gaines, jugó por primera vez con su grupo Crawdad, luego con Lynyrd Skynyrd ).
El álbum original en Rumble Records ( 1980 ) es muy rara, pero todavía se pueda encontrar si usted está listo para poner el dinero y aceptar todos los ruidos de fondo que puede encontrar en un lp utilizado. Este álbum es ahora parte de mis favoritos. Desde mi adolescencia yo soy un gran aficionados de la música rock sureño, pero he descubierto sólo este gran álbum con el Akarma reedición 2001 (tengo tanto lp y cd ediciones ). Ok, no es realmente el tipo de música que solemos encontrar aquí, pero con la diversidad de género en este blog, creo que tiene su lugar.
